Why Beeltra

Not here to track.
Here to think with you.

Most apps tell you what you made. Beeltra tells you what you kept.

It tells you what you owe the IRS before the IRS tells you. It tells you if that offer is worth taking before you accept it. It tells you which days, hours, and platforms actually pay you more.

You don't need to be an accountant. You don't need to understand taxes. You just need to open the app.

That's a copilot.

Who We Are

Our Mission

You drive. We handle the math.

Every shift you work, the numbers are working against you — platforms show gross, not net. Beeltra flips that. We track every mile, every expense, and every dollar in real time so you always know what you actually kept.

Our Promise

No problem is too complex for your copilot.

Taxes, quarterly estimates, vehicle depreciation, platform comparisons — these feel hard because you're facing them alone. With Beeltra as your copilot, they're not your problem anymore. We've already solved them. You just look at the answer.

Works with every platform you drive for

🚗

Log earnings from multiple platforms in the same shift.

Why Beeltra Exists

The hard stuff is what
a copilot is built for.

Every problem below is one that stops drivers from earning more. We built a specific solution for each one — not a workaround, a real answer.

😩
"I had no idea I owed that much in taxes. DoorDash paid me $30K but I only kept $19K after everything."
Copilot solves it

Tax reserve calculated every single shift.

The moment you close a shift, your copilot tells you exactly how much to set aside — based on your real net income, self-employment rate, and income bracket. No surprises in April.

😤
"I worked 9 hours today. DoorDash says I made $145. But after gas, I have no idea what I actually made."
Copilot solves it

Real $/hr — live, during the shift.

Gross earnings minus fuel, minus vehicle wear, divided by hours worked. Your true rate, updated every hour while you drive. You know your number before you get home.

🤔
"I run DoorDash and Instacart. I think DoorDash pays better, but I'm honestly not sure."
Copilot solves it

Platform deep analysis — not just totals.

Your copilot breaks down every platform by $/hr, $/delivery, trend by month, and share of your income — then tells you exactly which one to prioritize and by how much.

😕
"It's 4PM, I've made $87. Should I push to $120 or go home? I never know when to stop."
Copilot solves it

Live session intelligence — stay or go.

Your copilot projects your final earnings if you keep the current pace, flags when you're below your historical average, and tells you the exact hours needed to hit your daily goal. One look. Clear answer.

😰
"My accountant asked for my mileage log and I had nothing. I estimated and I'm terrified of an audit."
Copilot solves it

IRS-ready PDF in one tap. Always.

Every shift logs miles, platforms, earnings, and expenses. At tax time, one tap exports a complete IRS-compliant report — Schedule C ready, mileage deduction pre-calculated, zero scrambling.

😬
"A customer offered me a 14-mile order for $8.50. I took it. I think I lost money on that one."
Copilot solves it

Offer evaluator — accept or decline in 3 seconds.

Enter the offer distance and payout. Your copilot calculates real profit after fuel cost for that specific trip — based on your vehicle's actual MPG and your local gas price. Never guess again.

You're not alone in the cab anymore.

Every one of these problems has a real answer. Your copilot has it ready before you even think to ask. That's not a feature — that's what a copilot does.

Getting Started

What is Beeltra?
Beeltra is an AI-powered earnings tracker built for gig delivery drivers (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Spark, and more). It automatically tracks your miles, calculates your real net income after fuel and taxes, and prepares your data for tax season — all in one app.
How do I create an account?
Open the app → tap Sign Up → enter your name, email and password, or sign in with Google in one tap. After verifying your email you'll be taken through a quick onboarding to add your vehicle.
How do I add my vehicle?
Go to Settings → Vehicles and tap Add Vehicle. Enter your make, model, year, and MPG. This is used to calculate your real fuel costs and depreciation per mile. You can add multiple vehicles.
Which platforms are supported?
DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Grubhub, Shipt, Spark Driver, Walmart+, and more. You can log earnings from multiple platforms within the same shift.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. All data is saved locally first and synced to the cloud when you reconnect. You will never lose data due to a lost signal during a shift.

🚗

Sessions & Mileage Tracking

How do I start a shift?
Tap the Sessions tab → Start Shift. The app asks you to photograph your odometer — this is your IRS mileage documentation. Once started, location tracking runs in the background to count miles automatically.
💡 Always take the odometer photo — it's your proof in case of an IRS audit.
How do I log earnings during a shift?
During an active shift tap Log Earnings. Enter the platform, base pay, tip, and bonuses. You can log multiple orders — just tap after each delivery. The app also shows your Vehicle Wear Cost and real Net Earnings live.
How do I end a shift?
Tap End Shift. Enter your ending odometer reading, confirm total miles, and tap Save Session. Your $/hr, total miles, and net income are saved automatically.
Can I edit a session after ending it?
Yes. Go to Sessions → tap any completed session → Edit. You can adjust earnings, miles, platform, and notes. All changes sync automatically.
Log Session Shift Detail
🧾

Expenses & Deductions

What expenses can I deduct as a delivery driver?
As an independent contractor you can deduct:

Vehicle: Fuel, oil changes, tires, repairs, insurance, registration
Work tools: Phone plan/data, phone mount, insulated bags
Other: Parking, tolls, car washes

Note: If you use the IRS standard mileage rate you cannot separately deduct fuel or depreciation — those are already included.
How do I log an expense?
Go to the Expenses tab → tap the + button. Select the category (Fuel, Insurance, Tolls, etc.), enter the amount and date. Filter by category at the top to review specific costs.
IRS mileage rate vs. actual expenses — which is better?
IRS Standard Mileage ($0.67/mi 2024): Simpler. Covers fuel, depreciation, and wear in one rate. Best for most drivers.

Actual Expense Method: Track every cost individually. Can be larger if your car has high costs, but requires more record-keeping.

You must choose one per vehicle per year. Beeltra's AI compares both and recommends the better option. (Premium)

Offer Evaluator

What is the Offer Evaluator?
The Offer Evaluator calculates your real net profit for any delivery offer — after fuel, vehicle depreciation, and self-employment tax. It gives you an instant ACCEPT / MARGINAL / DECLINE verdict based on your effective $/hour.
🚗 Access it from AI Copilot → Offer Evaluator, or the "Evaluate Offer" button on the dashboard.
What are "dead miles"?
Dead miles are the miles you drive after a delivery — returning to your zone — for which you are not paid. They still cost you fuel and vehicle wear. The app auto-fills dead miles equal to the delivery miles, which you can adjust if you already have another order nearby.
How is the net profit calculated?
Net = Offer Pay − Fuel − Wear/Depreciation − SE Tax

Fuel: (total miles / MPG) × gas price
Wear: total miles × $/mi rate
SE Tax: ~14.1% of taxable income after IRS mileage deduction

Total miles = delivery miles + dead miles (return trip).
What does ACCEPT / MARGINAL / DECLINE mean?
Based on your effective net $/hour:

ACCEPT — $15+/hr net
🟡 MARGINAL — $9–15/hr (consider if slow)
DECLINE — Under $9/hr
Offer Evaluator
📊

Taxes & Reports

Do I need to pay taxes as a delivery driver?
Yes. As an independent contractor you owe:

Income tax — federal + state on your net profit
SE tax — 15.3% of net SE income (Social Security + Medicare)

Platforms do NOT withhold taxes. You must pay quarterly estimated taxes to the IRS.
What is Schedule C?
Schedule C (Form 1040) is where you report self-employment income and deductions. Beeltra's Reports tab generates a Schedule C summary you can hand directly to your tax preparer.
How much should I set aside for taxes?
A safe rule: set aside 25–30% of every deposit.

Example: You receive $500 → transfer $125–$150 to a separate savings account immediately. The AI Copilot tracks your quarterly tax balance automatically.
💡 Open a high-yield savings account (Marcus, Ally) specifically for taxes — earn interest on money you'd set aside anyway.
How do I export my data for my accountant?
Go to Reports → Export PDF or CSV. Filter by date range, platform, or year. The PDF report is formatted and ready to hand to your tax preparer. (Premium)

IRS Guide for Delivery Drivers

Standard Mileage Rate — 2024 & 2025
The IRS sets a standard rate per mile driven for business purposes. Using this rate is the simplest method — it covers fuel, depreciation, oil, tires, and insurance in one number.

YearRateIRS Reference
2025$0.70 / mileIRS Standard Mileage Rates →
2024$0.67 / mileIRS Standard Mileage Rates →
2023$0.655 / mileIRS Standard Mileage Rates →
⚠️ If you use the standard mileage rate, you cannot separately deduct gas, depreciation, or insurance for that vehicle in the same year. The rate already covers those costs.
Vehicle Depreciation — Section 280F Limits (Actual Expense Method)
If you choose the actual expense method instead of the standard mileage rate, you may claim MACRS depreciation on your vehicle. However, the IRS caps annual depreciation for passenger vehicles under Section 280F ("listed property").

2024 Annual Depreciation Caps (passenger vehicle placed in service 2024):
Year 1
$20,400
with 60% bonus depr.
Year 1
$12,400
without bonus depr.
Year 2
$19,800
with bonus depr.
Year 3+
$11,900
Year 3 cap
⚠️ Important: You cannot switch from the standard mileage rate to the actual expense method for a vehicle you've used before — unless it's the first year you're using that vehicle for business. Consult a tax professional before choosing.
1099-NEC & 1099-K — What Platforms Must Report
Delivery platforms are legally required to report your income to the IRS under two forms:

FormWhen issuedWhat it covers
1099-NECEarnings ≥ $600/yrNon-employee compensation (your delivery earnings)
1099-K$5,000+ in 2024
$2,500+ in 2025 (planned)
Payment card / third-party payments
⚠️ Critical: Even if you earn under $600 and do NOT receive a 1099, you are still legally required to report and pay taxes on ALL income. The IRS considers this unreported income, not exempt income.
✅ You must report every dollar of gig income on Schedule C, regardless of whether you receive a tax form.

🌐 IRS Gig Economy Tax Center →
Schedule C — Your Tax Form as a Delivery Driver
As an independent contractor, you report your gig income on Schedule C (Form 1040) — "Profit or Loss from Business." This is where you:

• Report your gross earnings (Box 7 of 1099-NEC, plus any unreported income)
• Deduct business expenses (mileage, phone, supplies, etc.)
• Calculate your net profit — the amount subject to both income tax and SE tax

Key expense lines on Schedule C:
LineWhat to enter
Line 9Car and truck expenses (your mileage deduction)
Line 25Utilities (phone data plan — business portion)
Line 27aOther expenses (insulated bags, phone mount, tolls, parking)

Self-Employment (SE) Tax — How It's Calculated
As a gig worker you are both employer and employee, so you pay both sides of Social Security and Medicare taxes:

ComponentRateNotes
Social Security12.4%On first $168,600 of net SE income (2024)
Medicare2.9%On all net SE income
Total SE Tax15.3%Applied to 92.35% of net profit

Example: Net profit $40,000 × 92.35% = $36,940 × 15.3% = $5,652 SE tax

Good news: You can deduct half of your SE tax (the employer-equivalent portion) on Schedule 1 of Form 1040, reducing your federal income tax.

📄 IRS — Self-Employment Tax →
Quarterly Estimated Taxes — Due Dates & Safe Harbor
If you expect to owe $1,000 or more in federal taxes for the year, you are required to make quarterly estimated tax payments using Form 1040-ES.

2025 Payment Due Dates:
QuarterIncome periodDue date
Q1Jan 1 – Mar 31April 15, 2025
Q2Apr 1 – May 31June 17, 2025
Q3Jun 1 – Aug 31September 15, 2025
Q4Sep 1 – Dec 31January 15, 2026

Safe Harbor Rule: To avoid underpayment penalties, pay either:
• 100% of last year's tax liability, OR
• 110% of last year's tax (if prior year AGI > $150,000), OR
• 90% of current year's tax

⚠️ Failure to make quarterly payments can result in an underpayment penalty, even if you pay in full at tax season.

Mileage vs. Actual Expenses — Which Should I Choose?

What Drivers Are Saying

★★★★★
"I was doing DoorDash and Uber Eats at the same time and had no idea which one actually paid better after gas. Beeltra broke it down — DoorDash was giving me $4.30 more per delivery on average. Shifted most of my time there and my weekly net went up without driving a single extra mile."

"I used to just drive until I felt tired without knowing if the night was actually good or not. Now I check the app at 8pm — if I'm below my average I go home early. Stopped wasting 5-6 hours a week on slow nights. The PDF report for my accountant is a bonus."
